Famous south Indian actor Rana Daggubati flied to Thailand to commence shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’. The tri-lingual movie is being directed by popular south Indian filmmaker Prabu Solomon. According to sources, the movie’s shooting was about to begin in January this year. Due to some unknown reasons, the filming was delayed and makers could not proceed with their planned schedule.
Rana Daggubati will be playing the character named ‘Bandev’ in ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’. The film is tribute to 1971 Indian Bollywood movie ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ which was directed by M. A. Thirumugam. The movie is scheduled to be released on Diwali this year.
Rana is presently busy shooting ‘Enai Noki Paayum Thota’. The Tamil language movie is directed by Gautham Menon. Produced under the banner ‘Escape Artists Motion Pictures’, the romantic thriller film features Megha Akash, Dhanush and Ramaguru in the main roles.
Daggubati is also prepping up for his another movie ‘Madai Thirandhu’. Directed by Sathyasiva, the Telugu-Tamil bilingual film features Regina Cassandra, Sathyaraj, Nassar and RJ Balaji in the lead roles. Produced by S. N. Rajarajan, Telugu version of the movie has been titled as ‘1945’.
Rana was last seen in Telugu language movie ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’. The political thriller film was directed by famous south Indian filmmaker Teja. The multi-starrer south Indian movie featured Kajal Aggarwal, Catherine Tresa and Navdeep in the main roles. Produced under banner ‘Blue Planet Entertainments’, the Tollywood movie was released on 11th August 2017.
Rana Daggubati’s previous blockbuster was ‘Bahubali 2 : The Conclusion’. The multilingual Indian movie made record-breaking business in India. The second installment in ‘Bahubali’ film series became the first Indian film to cross Rs 1000 crore mark at worldwide box office. Hindi version of the movie collected more than Rs 500 crore in India.
